The Cumbria Community Transport Conference is an opportunity for community groups to learn from others, develop ideas and help shape the future of community transport across Cumbria.
Through talks from community transport organisations and specialists from around the country, together with practical workshops, the conference will provide opportunities to:
• Share learning and experience.
• Develop community transport ideas.
• Envisage the future of community transport in Cumbria.
• Demonstrate what is possible through community-led transport initiatives.
Key information
The conference has been organised by Sustainable and Integrated Transport for Ullswater (SITU) with support from ACTion with Communities in Cumbria (ACT) and the Royal Countryside Fund.
Registration opens at 9.30am, with the conference running from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
The event will be held at The Quiet Site, Ullswater, with an online joining option available for those who select this when booking.
Community transport groups are encouraged to attend in person. Spaces will be prioritised for community groups on a first-come, first-served basis, with a suggested maximum of two delegates per organisation.
Free parking, refreshments and lunch will be provided for all in-person delegates.
Half-price accommodation is available at The Quiet Site for delegates attending in person.
Ahead of the conference, community transport groups will be invited to provide details of their current transport initiatives. These will be used to produce display posters to support the afternoon workshops and discussions.
